Let Freedom Reign – Beating Trauma

Well, it’s here. It’s Independence Day. It’s the big day of freedom. Like many people I know, I have mixed feelings about it. I didn’t live free in the United States. I never had it. While I knew this when I lived there, leaving the U.S. helped me understand the nuances of how it impacted me internally. Most of you know I was trafficked. I was sold by my own family, my own parents. I was also sold to another family of pimps because of contracts between our families. They had a ton of money and a history of holding other families hostage for helping them out of difficult situations, like a deal with the devil. This rich family of pimps were like royalty in the town I lived in. They seemed to be “respected”, but really, they were feared. The freedom of everyone in this city was somewhat limited by the influence of this family (and others like them). Nobody stood up to them, not even to save those they victimized, not even to save me. Money is power, right? Generational money leads to historical power. Historical power leads to impunity. This is not freedom.

Unfortunately, I am coming to understand this is what the U.S. is built on. It is a feudal system created to extend more power to the wealthy, making the rise from serfdom almost impossible, despite the constant propaganda about the American dream. It was pretty well-hidden from public eye until these past two years in my opinion. It wasn’t hidden from me because I was the lowest of the low. I was the one who was sacrificed by my family to appease the dragon in the mountain guarding his stash of gold. I knew the darkest side of American humanity. I knew the slavery of women and people of color and people in poverty had never really stopped. For a long time, nobody wanted to hear me. They were in their denial about the “land of the free”. That’s changing. There is validation in that, but no solace. That will come with the destruction of this system which feeds the dragon.

I want to be clear that I in no way believe this is a U.S. problem. I just believe the U.S. is the most hypocritical about it. Every single thing we see about this country is based on the concept of freedom. It’s all a lie. That said, money runs everything in every country. People with money are living by a different set of rules. Honestly, they don’t have any rules. This starts at the family level where the one with the money gets far more freedom. It moves up from there to the highest levels in every country. Money is the root of all evil, right? Wrong. People are the root of all evil. Money is the tool. It can be used for good or evil, but human nature gets in the way. That might sound a bit bleak, but I have an important point here. I am not suggesting there are no good humans, but those who are hoarding wealth are putting obstacles in the minds of those who might use money for good. They create these little brainwashing bombs in our minds to explode whenever we attempt something different than we’ve been taught. This is the insurance. If they lose physical control of us (which is more common these days), they have already set us up to fail through the belief systems they’ve installed. We must work to dismantle these systems in our minds so we can dismantle the systems holding us back in our world.

As usual, I am going to start with awareness because it is truly the key to every step forward in our human evolution. I’m also going to start with a belief system which has permeated humanity since the first kings were crowned and knights were knighted. “There are people who are more deserving of good things than others.” Nobody was born on this planet to be elevated to royalty or any other state above others. That concept has been entirely invented by the exact humans who managed to elevate themselves. Most of us know this in our conscious minds. Most of the time, our conscious minds are not the problem. Our unconscious minds will hold these beliefs which go back hundreds of years. They were reinforced through hundreds of “harmless” and not so harmless comments from family members and society as we were growing up. Maybe they were fueled by jealousy of our desire for something greater, the light we still held which had long-since been dulled in others by the world’s harshness. Maybe they were fueled by the desire to protect us from that harsh world. Regardless of the reason, it left a mark on our unconscious brains. It holds us back.

This next false belief seems mathematically accurate, so it can be hard to dispel even from our conscious minds. “Not everyone can have what they want.” Scarcity is a belief that most people hold. Again, even if the conscious mind can see through it, it can have a tight grip on the unconscious mind. The problem with this statement is in the definition of “want”. It is true that not everyone can be a millionaire. There is a finite nature to the amount of money (and even some resources) which are available to humanity. Rich people spread the rumor of scarcity for a couple of reasons. They believe that everyone wants what they have which is where the math doesn’t work. When we are grounded, we don’t want what they have. Rich people aren’t grounded. They are hoarding money from a place of fear. That said, our grounded desires also strike fear in the hearts of the rich. We want an authentic and creative life. We want to feel purposeful and connected to others. We want to build something cool. We want to solve problems with new ideas. Every single one of these “wants” means that rich people lose control. They cannot control people who are building confidence by manifesting a life of autonomy through their creative pursuits.

Lastly, there is a common label associated with money. “Money is bad. To be truly good means a life without it.” Rich and powerful people love to create rules that don’t apply to them. They consider themselves to be elite. They see themselves as a part of a club that knows the truth about money while everyone else has to believe something else. They know that if we see the truth, we will know that money is not the root of all evil. As I stated earlier, the money is only a problem if the person who has the money is a problem. We can absolutely live a life of prosperity and use our money to do amazing things, make the world a better place in general. Contrary to the belief, we don’t turn evil the minute we have money. Will we have to fight against a system which will try to push us in that direction? Definitely. Is that more feasible when we have money? Yes. There are people out there in the world who are doing this all the time. Their stories are downplayed by the rich because they know how bad it makes them look, but money can do great things.

These brainwashing bombs in our minds can be disarmed with effort and emotional expression. Take some time today to consider how you can free yourself from the brainwashing from the rich and powerful. Express from the beliefs which are holding you back. It doesn’t solve all your problems to change your beliefs. The system is still broken, but as you fight against how you see things, options become available to your conscious awareness. Freeing yourself internally opens you up to more external steps toward freedom. Freedom is possible, but we aren’t there yet. Freedom is a much greater leader than any one person (or family of people) could ever be. Take the rich and powerful off the pedestal and let freedom live there instead. It is the supreme sovereign.
