Job Title: Senior Research Nurse
Reports To: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and managing complex, multi-site clinical trials and studies, providing expertise and oversight for data collecting, monitoring, and regulatory compliance. 

General Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and manage multi-site clinical trials and studies, including all aspects of the pre-trial, enrollment, and close-out phases
  • Manage interactions with multiple research sites, ensuring consistent protocol implementation and data collection
  • Manage data collection, entry, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GCP, IRB, FDA) and sponsor requirements
  • Communicate effectively with research collaborators, sponsors, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with study budget development, management, and resource allocation
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed
  • Manage/perform study initiation, monitoring visits, and site audits
  • Identify and resolve issues related to study operations and data quality
  • Educate and support participant sites
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize study design and operations
  • Participate in data analysis and interpretation, contribute to study reports and publications
  • Review and ensure compliance with study protocols across sites
  • Identify and address barriers to study progress across sites
  • Participate in grant submissions
  • Facilitate single Institutional Review Board submissions
  • Facilitate Department of Defense second-level human subjects protection reviews as appropriate
  • Develop study data dictionaries
  • Develop policies and procedures necessary for standardized study implementation across sites

 

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree with eight years experience; Master’s degree with five years of experience in research; Doctorate degree with two years of experience

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, investigators, and funding agencies.
