Job Title: Senior Research Nurse
Reports To: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating and managing complex, multi-site clinical trials and studies, providing expertise and oversight for data collecting, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
General Accountabilities
- Coordinate and manage multi-site clinical trials and studies, including all aspects of the pre-trial, enrollment, and close-out phases
- Manage interactions with multiple research sites, ensuring consistent protocol implementation and data collection
- Manage data collection, entry, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GCP, IRB, FDA) and sponsor requirements
- Communicate effectively with research collaborators, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Assist with study budget development, management, and resource allocation
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed
- Manage/perform study initiation, monitoring visits, and site audits
- Identify and resolve issues related to study operations and data quality
- Educate and support participant sites
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize study design and operations
- Participate in data analysis and interpretation, contribute to study reports and publications
- Review and ensure compliance with study protocols across sites
- Identify and address barriers to study progress across sites
- Participate in grant submissions
- Facilitate single Institutional Review Board submissions
- Facilitate Department of Defense second-level human subjects protection reviews as appropriate
- Develop study data dictionaries
- Develop policies and procedures necessary for standardized study implementation across sites
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree with eight years experience; Master’s degree with five years of experience in research; Doctorate degree with two years of experience
